Matrescence: Becoming a Mother
When you become a mother, your whole world expands - your love, your responsibility, your family, your daily routine and your capacity to do hard things! You’ve forged a new path and made room for two - in the most literal and metaphorical senses. It’s hard to imagine the profound and intense identity and role shifts that you go through as you transition into motherhood; but once you know, you know.

Patrescence: Becoming a Father
The transition to fatherhood is a profound journey that can reshape a man’s life and redefine his sense of purpose. As a new father adopts his paternal identity, he will encounter a path marked with changes and challenges, both expected and unexpected. The adjustment involves more than just performing new responsibilities, often accompanied by an evolution of oneself from man to father.

Mastering Toddler Tantrums
An expression of emotion! A demonstration of a deep desire! That’s what a tantrum really is. Yes, there’s screaming, crying, kicking, and flailing. We’ve all been there… and know it well. Viewing a tantrum as an opportunity to dig your heels in and push back probably hasn’t gotten you anywhere. Tantrums are actually a golden opportunity for connection with your child, and how you handle them doesn’t have to be complicated.

Intuitive Discipline
Imagine if you were able to develop a family culture that demonstrated acceptance and curiosity in the face of a child’s mistake. Imagine if your child felt the freedom to make a mistake and then turn to you for comfort, guidance, and direction. When you understand the science behind learning and behavior change, the strategies to foster this culture become Intuitive.

Ruptures and Repairs
It can be hard to acknowledge and think about the moments in parenting when we wished we made a different decision. But it's a helpful and powerful experience to address it head-on with your child, and can bring about social-emotional growth and development for your child. We’ll explain why we don’t actually want you to be the perfect parent, and give you a how-to guide for the tough conversations with your child.
